I went to the clinic today for 11:30 AM. This was a good time to go because traffic was lessened and the blood work waiting area had about 95% less people than in the morning. I warned the nurse that it took five sticks and three people to get my blood last time so she took that into consideration. She had me run my hand under warm water for a minute or two. She then used the smallest butterfly on my hand. I hate hand vein usage but it's all I have left.
I saw the nurse today. I like the doctor better but his appointments are always real early in the morning and late in the afternoon. I like my sleep and lack of traffic better than him. My nurse told me I was 93% donor! So that is good news. I was hoping for 100 but what are you gonna do? I gained 4 lbs since last week. I was on a 2 lb loss per week for two weeks and now I am back to what I was three weeks ago. I know why I gained. I have nothing else better to do but pinterest and cook. I cook fattening. I find paula deen type recipes and just gobble them up. I have also become accustomed to snacks that I would not usually eat before. And they are bad. I honestly cannot wait until I can have a salad. I also wish spring temperatures would appear so I could take some walks and sit outside.
The nurse said I am doing good and we will see how I do when they start to lessen the immunosuppressants after 100 days. I asked when I could drink alcohol. She said after a year. I can also travel after a year, which is excellent because I really want to go to Disney World. Again.
